Another week and another reason to feel strange writing about anything other than current events. Access and inclusivity is at the heart of Legless, and so is Dublin, so everything that unfolded in town on Thursday ties into what Legless is.

I watched everything from that day through my phone, from the horrific attacks on children in the afternoon to a city on fire late at night. It was weird going to bed that night not knowing what kind of Dublin we would wake up to on Friday, and as I write this now, it’s hard to imagine what kind of Ireland will emerge from the embers.

From all of the newspaper articles, Instagram posts, comment sections and discussions with pals, there’s two big conversations happening on one side; how do you solve the problem of the alt right and how do we mend the social divide that’s been widening throughout Ireland? On the other side, bigotry is being fought with even more bigotry.
