Whenever Peter posts a new reel pretending to be a divorced sad dad, an actor trying to break into RTE, a hustler running a children’s after school play group or an influencer bringing their personal lives into their sponsored content posts, I immediately hit share with a cohort of other PMcG fans. He has us hooked and he is yet to let us down, but as some of his reels flirt, that time can arrive at any point.
His comedy teeters on the edge of you going “oh oh”, fearing he’s about to walk down well trodden routes of Irish-isms as gags, misogyny as the punchline or cancel culture as an outrage, he finds a way to take those paths and annihilate them with an intelligent and emotional comedy style.
