Dispatches from a music festival: All Together Now
When bad weather overrides all good intentions
Oh, I had big plans to get this post to you sooner, but I had to drive to Liverpool this week so that I could get my motorised DaVinci trail rider attachment fixed, something I sorely needed last weekend at All Together Now.
Last weekend was the festival’s fourth outing and it was by far my most difficult festival experience - and I’ve been to Oxegen, I survived Body & Soul 2016 and I just about made it out alive of Electric Picnic 2017. Despite all of the elements trying their best to wreck the buzz, I still somehow had the most fun I’ve had at a festival this summer.
Perhaps there’s something about surviving a yellow weather warning that makes you push even harder to have a good time. Or maybe when your tent collapses on you at 7am on a Saturday morning, fit to blow away if it wasn’t for your own body weight, that helps you realise that things could be worse?
Oh, but they could.
