Like many millennial women, I went through a phase of being devoted to the outcomes of tarot readings. I scribbled the messages down - month by month - and would then hide that notebook, to take it out a year later to see which predictions came to be and which ones were pure baloney.
To the credit of one woman saved in my phone as “Tarot Trish”, she fully predicted the start and end of one relationship. Although, I wonder how much of her readings guided my actions. Perhaps that’s what it all is, or perhaps she knew.
During this phase of looking for external guidance, as I was in a state of deep distrust with my own moral compass, I was recommended an Irish intuitive healer who held sessions from Thailand over Zoom. In this call, which I paid €90 for, she told me I had to stop playing the victim. Money well spent, non? But I’m not alone in looking for my own answers when the cards you’ve been dealt just don’t feel right, only to learn that that research isn’t what it should be.
